Application

 

Nexans H07V-R is intended for fixed and protected electrical installations in dry environments, for main distribution and power circuits in conductor cross-sections of 6 mm² and above (excluding fire safety circuits):

  • Multi-residential and commercial buildings: main distribution between the main switchboard and sub-distribution boards.
  • Electrical switchboards and cabinets: internal wiring of large cross-sections, power feeders, and busbar connections.
  • Technical rooms: connection of power equipment (main LV switchboards, control cabinets, and distribution enclosures).

For 1.5 mm² and 2.5 mm² conductor sizes: use H07V-U (Class 1 solid conductor).
For fire safety circuits (fire detection and alarm systems, emergency lighting, smoke extraction systems): use CR1-C1.
For installations requiring enhanced fire performance: use H07Z1-U/R/K (halogen-free).

Installation

Permitted laying options

  • In free air on insulating supports, in dry locations
  • Installed in trunking, skirting ducts, conduits, sleeves or cable trays
  • In conduits (surface-mounted or concealed within dry walls)
  • Internal wiring of electrical switchboards, cabinets and enclosures

Not suitable for

  • Direct outdoor installation – PVC insulation is not resistant to UV exposure or weathering
  • Damp, wet or waterlogged environments – moisture protection limited to AD1 conditions
  • Direct burial without additional mechanical protection
  • Mobile applications or repeated flexing – use H07V-K (Class 5 flexible conductor) or H07Z1-K instead

  • Minimum bending radius: 4 × overall cable diameter
